Served for seven years in operational capacities in the Israeli intelligence community, Acted as an advisor to the Yitzhak Shamir government. Was the academic coordinator of the internationally renowned Herzliya Conference. Holds degree in Physics and Geology (B.Sc.), Business Administration (MBA) Political Science/International Relations (Ph.D.) Appeared before the Joint Economic Committee of US Congress as an expert on Mid-East events.
Lectured at Tel Aviv University in the Political Science Department and Security Studies Program.
Author of two books and numerous articles in academic journals and in the international and Israeli press—in English and Hebrew.
