Bar is a reserve combat officer in the Elite Unit 669 - the combat search and evacuation unit of the IDF - one of the 4 special units in the Israeli military. The alumni association, the Cat, is a team of people who devote their time, and sometimes even risk their lives, to the search and rescue of civilians and military personnel in need - in and around Israel - no matter what their nationality.
Bar is the Founder of AFU 669- American Friends of Unit 669, the Co-founder of the Cat Association - Elite Unit 669 Alumni and has served as its CEO for the last 5 years.
