The panel will be chaired by James Libson. Adolf Eichmann played a pivotal role in the implementation of the Final Solution. Charged with managing and facilitating the mass deportation of Jews to ghettos and killing centers in the German-occupied East, he was among the major organisers of the Holocaust. Following his stunning abduction by the Mossad in Argentina on 11 May 1960, Eichmann's trial in Jerusalem in 1961 sparked international interest and heightened public awareness of the crimes of the Holocaust.
